DaySite makes use of an advanced data center to insure reliable connectivity to the Internet and the WWWeb. The webservers are connected to the Internet via multiple high speed DS-3 circuits over Bell Atlantic's OC-48 Sonet ring. In plain English, multiple Interstate highways connecting to a 10 lane Interstate.

The data center offers a high performance reliable place to host our clients. Uninterruptable Power Supplies "UPS", backup generators power, climate control, security systems and and advanced network monitoring round out the data center.

The data center uses only high-end cisco 7500 series routers to connect to the outside world. To insure high availability to all of our clients the data center is equipped with a hot spare on standing by. The network only uses 3com and Cisco switches, routers and NIC cards. Redundancy is the key to the data center's success.

Back up power is provided by a series of UPS units which are distributed throughout the data center. They are designed to provide uninterrupted power during regional power outages or power flickering.

Diesel powered back up power generators automatically power up at the sign of any power fluctuations. They are capable providing power for months.
