Web Page Keywords Meta Tag

The Keywords meta tag is less important that in the past. Not all search engines use it, and those that do rely less and less on it. The this tag has been greatly abused by amateur web site proportion people, causing search engines to rely on it less and less. However, USE IT.

The keywords meta tag looks like this:
[META NAME='keywords' CONTENT='keywords here']

Create a short list of your keywords and key phrases. Separated each with a comma (,). Only use a keyword once. DO NOT REPEATE IT. This is a great place to test your thesaurus skills. Use as many synonyms as you can dream up in this tag. After you can completed you list, insert it into the CONTENT attribute, between the quotes. Your Webpage keywords list should be kept short, from 3 to 20 words. It must include your primary key word. And again do not repeat your keywords.

Example of Keyword List

Using our flower shop example, the Web page keywords meta tag might look like this:
'flowers, wedding s, arrangements, orlando, florida, bouquets, marriage'

Use a slightly different keyword list on every page on your site. Each page should be tailored to that page.
